यह इश्कहै कमालहै जागति सुबह ढलति शामहै,
धडकने चलते धमालहै भला-बुरा वह तेरे नामहै!
           दिलकी मामलात हरबात साफ कभी काहाँ होगा,
           कोई खलिशसिकायत जजबातोंसे चलना कामहै!
मूर्शद हमे तुम्हारी खातिरदारी बहुतायात जांतलब,
तलब कुछ जीनेकी पिकर साथ-साथ हाथ जामहै!
           वो आदमीका होना भला क्या बुरा क्या पहचानेंगे,
          हालातहै भलाबुरा ओैर बुराभला हरबंदा बदनामहै!
खुदा क्या मुंह दिखाउँ बादसाहओैरङ्गजेब कहमरा,
मरतेमरते सहिसिख देतागया बडे गौरतलब दामहै!
           जानेमन जानताहुं . चायसेहै तुं उकताया हुवा,
          चाय तलबहै लेपी कफी अभी साथ काजु बादामहै!©
