ऐ दिलकी लहर देखरहाहुँ जिधरभी बहजाये, 
बहते पानी सागरमे जीभर प्यासबन रहजाये! 
            धडकन सुनतेसुनते प्यारकी धुन बनिना लाग, 
            लागि प्यारकी देखेंकैसे सिखना सब रहजाये! 
मोहब्बतभरी दर्दसिनेमे तुंनेदेदियाहै हमनवा, 
मरहम चाक-ए-जिगरपर करकेमनसहजाये! 
            वफादारी बडा भारीहै ढोना जफा रुहमे बोझ, 
            बंदआँखे दिखाए देखना सिख सही करजाये! 
प्यार करके तुम्सेहिं सिर्फ जाना प्यार कियाहै, 
बांट दिया प्यार सबको बांकी नापास रहपाये! 
            पिना चाय हरदिन प्रियसी हमारा प्यारजैसाहो, 
            आदत दुनियाकोदुवा मेरी यहजल्दि लगजाये!
